Freshman Year

This year was great. Even though my grades were not good at all, next year i'm going to try my best to not let it happen again. I was lazy and didn't do work. And if I did do work I wouldn't do it to my full potential. I hardly ever studied. I should have tried harder. Im very disappointed in myself with how my year went. I met lots of new people though.

"Animal Farm"

In the book "Animal Farm" that were reading in my English class, there are many different types of animals with many different personalities. Many people could probably relate to the animals. It took me awhile t decide which i related to, but I think i most relate to Benjamin. He is a tempered donkey. The book says he is the worst tempered out of all the animals on the farm. My temper can be bad at times, but at other times it may not be. He doesn't talk often unless it has to be some stupid remark. I do actually talk quite a bit, but it's mostly smart remarks or stupid ones. He doesn't ever laugh, but I laugh all of the time. That's one difference. I'm excited to read the book and see more relations between Benjamin and me.

How can someone earn or keep power?

Power is a very important thing. It's hard to earn, but very easy to lose. You can earn power by being trusted by people. If they trust you, they will let you do more. The more they trust you with, the more power you will gain. When you gain trust and have more room for power you will gain even more power if you choose the right decisions. You choose a good decision people will look up to you and trust you even more. To keep your power you must make very few mistakes and if you make one you must make up for it with a good decision or action. Some people make bad decisions an somehow still maintain power. I think its because people may become scared of them and they let them do what they choose. Because if your scared of something your not going to get in it's way. I think the overall way to best gain power is to have trust.

Why do students have missing assignments?

Last semester 10 out of 24 kids had at least one missing assignment in my class. Thats about 42 percent of the kids in my class. Some may think that the main cause for missing assignments is laziness, but the main reason is they waste the time they have available for their work. Teenagers think they have more important things to do when really, they don't. Missing assignments is the biggest reason for bad grades. Some kids can be very bright and could do great in school. But because of missing assignments they don't do well.
Most people would say teens are lazy and don't do their work. People could argue that this is the biggest factor. They could also say it's sports. I can see why they would say that but it's a little more than that. Also, people think that they don't care about school. They also could have a bad memory and forget about it. People also say they just ignore the work. They are all good arguments but are not the reason.
The reason is because kids waste their time. I honestly miss assignments because I waste my time. I can see from my view why people do miss assignments. I do because of me wasting my time so I think that is why most other students do. They will waste their time on anything. Anything to not do their work. Teens can procrastinate and push it back, and farther back till it's too late to do it. Video games, television, computer and friends are all ways they waste their time. Teens can also be unorganized. You can easily waste time. The hard thing to do is to take time to do the work. The kids that do that are given good grades. They may also not give themselves enough time to do their work. The could be in sports which doesn't give them an excuse. But they may not organize their time after sports to do it.

Teens have missing assignments because they waste their time by playing video games, watching television and on the computer. Also, they are unorganized and don't use their free time wisely.
